Ghost of Christmas (Cards) Past

For the past five years, Jason and I have been sending out Christmas cards to our friends and family.  As technologically advanced as our lives our today, there is something about slowing down during the holidays and using good ole’ snail mail that makes it really special.  There is nothing like getting messages in the mail from the ones you love!

But with Dress This Nest being part of my life now, I thought I’d send a virtual Christmas card to all my blog readers just in time for the holidays.  I hope your holiday is turning out the way you planned and that all the decorating and shopping are done.  I hope Christmas cooking is filling your house with delicious smells and that you have loved ones close by to share the holiday with. Thank you for reading my blog, whether it has been for the whole year or just a few days.

From our home to yours:king_family_christmas_2013Special thanks to Macey of Motormouth Studios for taking these gorgeous photos of our family. To see more of our family photos, click here.

And since we are new friends and all, I thought I’d share some of our past Christmas cards with you to see how things have changed over the last few years.

Here is our card from last year:XmasCardAnd 2011 (aka the year we were crazy enough to get married in March and have a baby by December):king_family_christmas_2011And 2010 (A very snuggie Christmas and the last year of our less-adult lives):

king_family_christmas_2010And our very first Christmas card from 2009 (which I sadly no longer have a copy of, but thankfully Minted saved a very small jpg of all my past orders):king_family_christmas_2009Did you send out Christmas cards?

Such a cute family! I always want to send out a card and then time gets away from me and it’s too late

I love last year’s card and the 2011 one with the progression from throughout the year, It’s like a snapshot of all the big events going on in your life so it’s a wonderful souvenir of you and your family/update newsletter at the same time!
